(I have chronic insomnia) I have lots of these sleep type CDs and get tired of nature sounds so I thought this would be a nice change. Wow! I didn't expect this to become one of my favorites. This CD has a very smooth and mellow fluid air sound. Almost like air being pushed thru a long tube. I know it is made for babies, but believe me it works very well on adults too. Our 11 month old bay is still listening to this. I have researched and bought several other "white noise" cd's. And this is the only one that has worked for her. This cd is great. It masks out other noise - dog, TV, door bell and even, EVEN, fireworks. We play this CD on a continuous mode. I am about to purchase a second one - for just in case the other one were to malfunction or what have you. She takes longer naps and sleeps longer at night with this disc on repeat play. I put the CD on for him and he slept like a champ. The CD sounds like static, but certainly gets the job done. Since the baby is sleeping in our room the CD is not distracting to our sleep.
